The University of York is located in the north-east of England in the beautiful, historic city of York, less than two hours from London by train.

York has more than 200 North Americans among its 16,000 students. The University offers a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Particular strengths include Archaeology, English, History, Law, Medicine, Medieval Studies and the Sciences.

The combination of strong teaching and research, and a picturesque parkland campus is appealing to those wishing to cross the Atlantic for university. All York students are guaranteed University accommodation throughout their studies. Our student dorms are split into 9 colleges which offer friendly communities across different subjects and year groups. There are numerous opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities from the student newspaper to sports and music clubs.

International Officer (North America)

Nick is one of six International Officer at the University of York. He joined the International Recruitment team in summer 2015 and has responsibility for planning and delivering student recruitment activities in the USA and Canada.

He previously worked in the UK/EU recruitment and outreach teams at York for three years. His past roles included managing a range of on campus recruitment events and visiting schools across the UK. Nick completed his History and Philosophy BA (Hons) at York in 2012. As part of his degree he studied abroad at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. This experience was what first got him interested in working with North American students and college counselors.
